Giving Thanks Giving Back

Good morning friends, I hope your having a great Thanksgiving weekend! It seems that every time I have tried to get onto this website, I would always get bumped off!!! Gosh, my own site and I wouldn't be able to post!! Well, thank God I got on today!!!

I have been giving Thanks quite a lot as Thanksgiving approached! Did you all watch the Macy's Day Parade? I did, as I was preparing our turkey dinner! I was on the look out for my brother Robby, he volunteers as a Balloon handler in the Parade for the past 13 years! I actually had to watch it again to find him under the balloon..

I always pride myself while raising my kids, to give back to your community any chance you can. They do just that their entire life.. I'm grateful for that! Both my kids volunteer each year to cook a Thanksgiving meal down in Miami at the Salvation Army with their restaurant! An amazing job they do!!! Then when they come back at night, I have our dinner waiting for them!! So thankful for our tiny family~

I do walk the walk, while always teaching my kids to give back to their schools, churches and their communities, I too give back, in so many different ways.. I always donate food, clothing, pet foods,& blankets to assist with local Pet Shelters, and  my church has a Ministry to help homeless in our community!

It's called PROJECT HOPE! Missy & Mitch Armstrong has been a great asset to the Lake Worth Florida community for over 21 years! They are the back bone of this great cause! Mitch takes the bus out every Sunday early morning to pick up homeless people in the area and bring them back to our Church campus on Military Trail in Lake Worth, Fl. They are then able to  shower, shave or haircut, then they are welcome to choose clothes, shoes, boots, coats and then a warm delightful breakfast! Amen, this PROJECT HOPE Ministry is doing so much good for our community! I go in early morning to start cooking & preparing the breakfast! Oh boy, yummy things are being prepared for 100 or more people each Sunday morning!! Then clean up starts and as the people get to enjoy our church service at 11:00am, right after service, we open the kitchen up for them again to have a delightful lunch!! Amen, Amen to that!!

Everyone pitches in the help PROJECT HOPE deliver a great experience for each person that comes here! Amen!! This little kitchen, 1 small refrigerator, 1 stove, and a very old wall oven, that does not always work (it's very temperamental) lol!!

PROJECT HOPE MINISTRY needs HELP!! I've been sending out letters to HGTV and their Host of Kitchen shows, to see if they would help getting us a Larger Kitchen with new appliance's!! We feed over 100 people each Sunday and our Kitchen is from the 60's!! We really need a Renovation!!

During the week, this little Kitchen serves as a lunch/break room for our teachers of Trinity Christian Academy!! Yes, this campus also has a pre-school to 12 grade school!! If anyone reading this post could possibly give a SHOUT OUT to anyone that would be able to help donate their products, time, or even the whole big RENO!! I'm believing in this Miracle! Help me  Help PROJECT HOPE!!

I continue to be a Blessing to others, as they are a  Blessing to me and our community! I leave you with this true sense of Thanksgiving to you and your family, may your baskets be filled with joy and a laughter! Peace & Blessing to all !!! Group Hugs xox
